ABOUT CAMILLE McMENNAMIN

Camille is currently represented by the Amsterdam Whitney Gallery in Chelsea, where three of her “Subway People” were showcased in a Spring 2019 group show entitled “Salute to the Stars.” Her figurative paintings, watercolor landscapes, collages and portraits of rock stars, opera stars and newsmakers are represented in private collections in America and Europe. In a 2017 silent auction on Cape Cod, her painting “Cotuit Oyster Company” garnered the second highest bid. And since 2004, she has exhibited and sold artwork at Maximus in Old Saybrook, Connecticut.

Camille McMennamin’s fresh, spontaneous style evolved through the teachings of northwest artist George Roberts; renowned west coast painters Hassel Smith and Elmer Bishchoff; and the flamboyant California sculptor Harold Paris. She holds a Master of Arts degree from UC/Berkeley, and has been a private art teacher, a drawing instructor at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, DC and a Creative Director on Madison Avenue.
